Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

English architect, of Manchester, for whom see Directory of British Architects 1834-1914 (RIBA 2001), II, 652. In the Architects', Engineers' and Building Trades' Directory (1868), 136, Smith lists ecclesiastical works in Northern Ireland among his buildings. Data about only one of these - the Congregational church in Coleraine, Co. Derry, of 1862 - is forthcoming,(1) but it is possible that he designed other Congregational churches in the North.

See WORKS, for Irish work only.
