Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect and surveyor, of Margate, Kent, for whom see Directory of British Architects 1834-1914 (RIBA 2001), II, 571. Sear 'was resident architect to the estates of Lord Lurgan [Charles Brownlow, 2nd Baron Lurgan] and surveyor to the Lurgan Improvement Commission from 1850 to 1857'.(1) He is described in the Belfast and Province of Ulster Directory for 1856 as town clerk and town surveyor of Lurgan.
