Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Engineer, of Lisburn, Co. Antrim.  According to the 1911 census, George Sands was born in Co. Antrim in 1865 or 1866.   By 1906 he  appears to have been working in some official capacity for the borough of Lisburn, as his address at this date is given as the courthouse. He also worked for the Lisburn Board of Guardians.  At the time of the 1911 census he was unmarried, living with his brother and sisters at Dunmurray, Belfast.
