Architect and engineer, of Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo, active from 1903 or earlier until 1923 or later. According to his 1911 census return, John Ritchie was born in Belfast in 1857 or 1858.He was appointed engineer and architect to Ballinrobe Board of Guardians in 1916. At the time of the 1911 census he had been married for eighteen years to his Co. Galway-born wife, Mary, and had three children.
