Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect who entered the competition for designing for St George's church, Dublin, in 1800.(1) The names Read and Reid occur quite frequently in connection with the building trades in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century Dublin. The competition entrant could possibly have been Peter Read, who was admitted to the Dublin Society's School of Drawing in Architecture in 1789.(1)
