Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Builder, of Dublin, who erected the 'New Hall' at Trinity College, Dublin, in 1762.(1) He is probably the Richard Plummer whose will was proved in the Prerogative Court in 1768.(2) In the 1774 and 1776 editions of Wilson's Dublin Directory, which is often considerably out-of-date, both a Richard Plummer and a Richard Gilbert Plummer appear as residents of Clontarf. The two men were evidently related to GILBERT PLUMMER GILBERT PLUMMER .   Richard Gilbert Plummer carried out masonry work for the first Earl of Charlemont, either at Marino or at Charlemont House in Dublin.(3) His will was proved in 1790.(4)
