Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Poet and amateur architect?, for whom see Oxford DNB. Among the drawings in the Dunraven archive at Kilgobbin, Co. Limerick, is an annotated plan signed 'A. de V./1829', which shows an unexecuted proposal for a large addition to Adare Manor, Co. Limerick. Though the key and annotations are undoubtedly in Aubrey de Vere's hand, the plan itself seems rather too good to be the work of an amateur. Could it have been drawn for de Vere by AMON HENRY WILDS AMON HENRY WILDS , the Brighton architect who in 1829 was engaged on designing additions to de Vere's house, Curragh Chase, Co. Limerick?(1)
