Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Civil engineer. Henry Edward Powell, a son of HENRY POWELL  HENRY POWELL and his wife Ellen McCormack Powell, was born in Dublin on 16 December 1875.(1)   He was the elder brother of CHARLES B. POWELL. CHARLES B. POWELL. .   He was architect to Rathdown No. 2 Rural District Council in 1901,(2) and surveyor to Blackrock Urban District council from 1904(3) or earlier, until at least 1917.(4) He disappears from the directories after 1927. According to the 1911 census he had married circa 1903 but had no children at that time.
