PEMBERTON, BENJAMIN [1]*
- Born: 1715c? Died: -
Builder, of Dublin, who built 59 St Stephen's Green, 1750.(1) Benjamin Pemberton [1] appears to have been the father of BENJAMIN PEMBERTON [2] and WILLIAM PEMBERTON and the grandfather of BENJAMIN PEMBERTON [3] . He is almost certainly the person of this name who was born in about 1715, married Rachel Oliver at St Mark's church, Dublin, on 31 January 1740, and whose funeral took place at St Mark's church on 26 August 1787.(2) 'Mr. Benjamin Pemberton, Bricklayer' was one of the subscribers to JOHN AHERON' s A general treatise on architecture, published in Dublin in 1754. A Benjamin Pemberton, builder, of Carter's Alley, Dublin, is listed in Wilson's Dublin Directory for 1774 and 1776.
