Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Engineer, of Thurles, Co. Tipperary. Patrick J. Ormonde, who, according to his1911 census return, was born in Co. Waterford in 1856 or 1857, probably moved to Co. Tipperary early in his career.   His wife Mary, whom he married in 1879 or 1880, came from the county and at least four of his five children were born there.   He designed artisans' dwellings for Thurles in 1901(1) and an extension to the Templemore town sewerage in 1911,(2) He was appointed surveyor of Templemore Urban District in 1912.(3)
