Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect and builder, who provided the initial plans for, and was the builder of, St Mary's Church of Ireland Church, Newry, 1810, and also provided plans for Kilkeel Church of Ireland parish church, 1812.(1) He is probably same person as the Patrick O'Farrell, architect, of Clonfeacle, Blackwatertown, Co. Nature: New church. FS laid 17 Oct 1810. Consecrated 25 Aug 1819. P.O'F builder and original designer, but building supervised by Thomas Duff from 1813. For Lord Kilmorey. Cost: £12,566.

Date: 1812-1818
Nature: P.O'F 'laid before the parish plans and an estimate for building a new church on an entirely new site', 1812. Datestone on S wall reads:'Aedificatum Anno Domini 1815'. Consecrated 14 Aug 1818. Total cost £4613.19s.3½d. For Lord Kilmorey.
