Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect, of Derry City and Greencastle, Co. Donegal. Foster Nolan, a son - or possibly grandson - of ROBERT H. NOLAN [1] ROBERT H. NOLAN [1] , was born in Co. Donegal in 1852 or 1853.   He worked with his brother ROBERT H. NOLAN [2]  ROBERT H. NOLAN [2] in the surveying and architecture practice which their father had established in Derry. Some of the references to him in the Irish Builder style him 'BE'.(1) He died in 1927. At the time of the 1911 census he was unmarried.

Address: Drumaweer, Moville, Co. Donegal, 1911;  Finmount, Greencastle, Co. Donegal, at time of death.
