Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Engineer, of Dublin. Stephen J. McGloughlin, a director of the firm of J. & C. McGloughlin, Ltd., was born circa 1904 and graduated BE from University College, Dublin, in 1925. He was killed in a car accident on 7 September 1962 at the age of 58.

ICEI: elected associate member, 5 November 1928;(1) transferred to member, 2 December1940;(2) wins Mullins Silver Medal, 1950, for his paper, 'An unusual design for roof steelwork', delivered 9 January 1950;(3) council member, 1961 until death.
