Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Assistant county surveyor for Co. Down, active from 1911 or earlier until 1942 or later.  Robert McCullen, who was born in Co. Down circa 1871, is recorded in the 1911 census as a thirty-year-old bachelor, a Unitarian by denomination, living with his parents, John McCullen, a farmer, and Dorcas Jane MCullen, at Killough, Co. Down.  He had been appointed an assistant county surveyor for Co. Down circa 1910 and remained in the post until the 1940s.
