Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Borough surveyor for Wexford, from 1894 until 1903 or later. D.E. McCarthy, who had an ME degree and was a professor at St Peter's College, Wexford, was selected from seven candidates for the post of borough surveyor and inspector of waterworks for Wexford in 1894, following the death of EDWARD KIERAN RYAN EDWARD KIERAN RYAN . His salary was £80 per annum. He was still in the post in 1903 but had been succeeded by PATRICK HANRAHAN  PATRICK HANRAHAN by 1907.

AAI: elected member, 1898; no longer on list of members for session 1904-1905.
