Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

'CE' responsible for the conversion of an old house in William Street, Birr, Co. Offaly, into a masonic hall for St Brendan's Lodge, No. 163, in 1875. The notice of the new building in the Irish Builder points out that 'Throughout the whole there has been an endeavour…for all work to exhibit its construction and make the constructive features ornamental'.(1)
