M.B. Martin exhibited three villa designs at the Royal Hibernian Academy in 1849 - in the 'castellated Tudor', 'Anglo Italian' and 'Elizabethan' styles.(1) His address was given as 45 Queen's Square, which in 1847 was the house of PETER MARTIN , who was presumably his father or other near relation. M.B. Martin may be the same person as the Michael Martin who was admitted to the Royal Dublin Society's School of Drawing in Architecture on 28 April 1842(2) and as the 'M. Martin' drew some of the street panoramas in Henry Shaw's Dublin Pictorial Guide (1850).
