Slater, of Dublin, described as such in Wilson's Dublin Directory for 1806, with an address at 2 Little Longford Street. He continues to appear in the directory at the same address, later joined by a son, until at least 1818. He had been admitted a Freeman of the City of Dublin at Easter 1790 as a member of the Corporation of Carpenters by Grace Especial.(1) In 1809 Bryan Bolger measured works which he was directing at Mr Nelis's 'concerns' in Frederick Street.(2)
