Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Joiners, of Dublin, active in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century. Seven members of the family were admitted freemen of the city of Dublin as members of the Corporation of Joiners, all by virtue of birth: Philip and William Le Maistre at Midsummer 1783, Peter Le Maistre at Michaelmas 1786, Charles and Frederick Le Maistre at Easter 1789, Henry Le Maistre at Midsummer 1809, and Edward Le Maitre(sic) at Michaelmas 1816.(1)
