Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Engineer to Tralee Rural District Council 'for years'.(1)   According to the 1911 census, Edward Keane was born in Co. Kerry in 1852 or 1853.   In 1907 he was appointed engineer to the labourers' cottage scheme for Tralee.(2)   At the time of the census he was living with his two unmarried sisters, Dora and Teresa, who were both in the drapery business, at 32 Castle Street Lower, Tralee.  He died later the same year.
