Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Engineer, active in Co. Longford in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. Richard Higgins received the BAI degree from Trinity College, Dublin, in 1923,(1) and later set up in practice in Co. Longford. The IAA has a volume containing carbon copies of reports by him in his capacity as engineer to the Longford County Board of Health on various engineering matters of concern to the Board, 1927-1930, and a volume of copy correspondence regarding the execution of specific works, 1927-1928 (Acc. 96/146).
