Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect or amateur who produced designs for a market house at Dundalk, Co. Louth in 1751. The signed and dated elevation and two alternative plans are in an album which is on deposit in the Irish Architectural Archive (Acc. 098/131, f. 28). Possibly Anne Hamilton, daughter of the Rt. Hon. James Hamilton, Viscount Limerick, proprietor of Dundalk, who married James, 2nd Earl of Roden the following year.
