Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Engineer. Evan Purser Griffith, who, according to the 1911 census was born in 1906 or 1907, was the elder son of JOHN WILLIAM GRIFFITH  JOHN WILLIAM GRIFFITH and a grandson of Sir JOHN PURSER GRIFFITH JOHN PURSER GRIFFITH . He received the BAI degree from Trinity College Dublin in 1934(1) and became an assistant to his father and grandfather. Described as having a 'particularly attractive personality, keen on sport, steady and industrious', he was killed while taking part in a motor cycling competition in Co. Wicklow in May 1936.
