Benjamin Gibson was admitted to the Royal Dublin Society's School of Architectural Drawing on 6 February 1834 and on 25 April 1839 won one of the eight unclassified premiums which were awarded that year.(1) He is perhaps the same person as the Benjamin Gibson, builder, whom Pettigrew & Oulton's Dublin Almanac for 1847 records as having established himself at 76 Aungier Street, Dublin.
