Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Amateur architect? Ambrose Evans was an alderman of Kilkenny, who submitted a plan for the Tholsel in 1758.(1) His will was proved in the Prerogative Court in 1766.(2) He may be the person of the same name who was born in the parish of St Mary's, Kilkenny, circa 1713 and married Elizabeth Hackett at St Mary's church, Dublin, on 30 May 1738.(3)
