Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Builder who erected the County Infirmary, Derry, to designs by ROBERT WOODGATE  ROBERT WOODGATE in 1810.(1) Edward Edgar also built, and perhaps designed, the Erasmus Smith Schools in Buncrana, Co. Donegal (1812), and Lissan, Co. Tyrone.(2)   He is probably the 'Mr. Edgar, Builder, Derry' who subscribed for two copies of Richard Elsam's Gentle man and Builders Assistant (Derry, 1808).
