DUNN, DANIEL *
- Born: - Died: -
Builder, of 16 Charlotte Street, Dublin, listed as such in Wilson's Dublin Directory for the years 1820-1831. He is probably the same person as Daniel Dunn of Townsend Street who appears on a list of Dublin brick and stonelayers who were active circa 1800 compiled by his fellow tradesmen in March 1834.(1) According to this source Dunn 'Built 3 houses in Macartney's Bridge/Townsend St, 1 in Dame Lane' and 'died lately but lost all his property business &c.'
(1) Royal Irish Academy, Haliday MS 4B 31; this manuscript is a copy of a report presented to Daniel O'Connell in 1834 to support the argument for repealing the Act of Union by describing the catastrophic impact the Act had had on the tradesmen of Dublin.
