Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

A design for entrance gates at Ballynahinch, Co. Down, was drawn by William Brown of Ballynahinch for David Stewart Ker of Montalto in December 1867. Dixon, who describes the design as 'crude but charming', suggests that Brown may have been Ker's jobbing builder. Other designs for the Montalto entrance gate were produced by GEORGE AITCHISON  GEORGE AITCHISON and TURNER & DREW. TURNER & DREW. (1)
