Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Charles Dobbin was admitted to the Royal Dublin Society's School of Architectural Drawing on 31 January 1839 and was awarded a premium on 29 June 1843.(1) In the same year he was appointed clerk of works of the Ordnance Department on account of the quality of his draughtsmanship.(2) A Peter Dobbin was admitted to the Society's School on 29 November 1827 and a James Dobbin on 29 January 1846.(3)
