Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

County engineer for Cos. Meath and Dublin. Michael Dee was born in Co. Limerick, and studied engineering at from Trinity College, Dublin, graduating in 1931. After three years in the office of PATRICK HARNETT MCCARTHY PATRICK HARNETT MCCARTHY , he was appointed assistant engineer to the Turf Development Board in 1934 and assistant county surveyor for Co. Limerick in 1936. In 1945 he was appointed engineering inspector to the Department of Local Government. He became county engineer for Co. Meath in June 1948 and finally county engineer for Co. Dublin in September 1963.(1)
