Nature: Rebuilding.  Designs by RA and A.F.B Anderson. Fireproof steel and concrete construction.  Portland stone frontage with Lapidosus patent stone facing composition. 250 bedrooms Carving by C.W. Harrison & Sons and Albert George Power.. Plain and ornamental plasterwork and Lapidosus patent stone facing composition on front by Alex Malcolm & Co., 60 Mespil Road.  Opened end Mar 1927.
