English architect, for whom see Directory of British Architects 1834-1914 (RIBA 2001), I, 443, and Howard Colvin, A Biographical dictionary of British architects 1600-1840 (4th edn., 2008), 276--278.  In 1834 Cottingham was engaged by Primate Lord John George Beresford of Armagh to restore Armagh Church of Ireland Cathedral, which he practically rebuilt. He also carried out work at Adare Manor, Co. Limerick, for WINDHAM HENRY QUIN WINDHAM HENRY QUIN , 2ND EARL OF DUNRAVEN. ND EARL OF DUNRAVEN.
