CORNEILLE, DANIEL (CAPT.)

Military engineer, who appears in the Ordnance lists for 1798(1) and who made plans for Dublin Harbour in 1804.(2) By 1806 he had been appointed an assistant engineer to the Directors of Inland Navigation under JOHN BROWNRIGG (3) and by 1814 he had become chairman of the Directors.(4) Of the same family as Captain JOHN CORNEILLE.
A person of this name married Elizabeth Stewart at St Peter's church, Dublin, on 28 May 1796.(5)
