Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Author of designs for Woodbrook House, Co. Laois (1793), for gates to Woodbrook House (1796), and for the school house at Coolaghy, Co. Laois (on paper watermarked 1806, 1808 and 1810) in the Woodbrook Collection at the Irish Architectural Archive (Acc. 77/26.1/3-5; 77/26.2/5; 77/26.5/1-5). 'J.C.' may be Jonathan Chetwood (1757-1839), the owner of Woodbrook.(1) The quality of the drawings suggests an amateur. See also 'J.J.C.'
