Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architectural partnership, of Dublin, formed between JAMES RAWSON CARROLL  JAMES RAWSON CARROLL and FREDERICK BATCHELOR  FREDERICK BATCHELOR in or by March 1892.(1) The partnership lasted until Carroll retired from practice in 1905. Pupils and assistants in the office included ALBERT WALTER MOORE. JOHN KNOX VINYCOMB  ALBERT WALTER MOORE. JOHN KNOX VINYCOMB and WILLIAM HENRY WARD WILLIAM HENRY WARD . Batchelor subsequently formed a partnership with FREDERICK HICKS. FREDERICK HICKS.

Nature: Repainting and alterations under superintendence of Frederick Batchelor, including removal of pulpit and reading desk which stood in front of chancel, removal of chancel steps and setting back of transept galleries. New oak pulpit and reading desk, both executed by Dovey, Mullally & Co., Dublin, erected on either side of chancel. New brass lectern by Brown & Co., Birmingham. New tile mosaic chancel floor, marble chancel steps and brass railing. Alterations carried out by Sibhorpe & Co., Molesworth St. Painting by J.F. Keating & Son, Grafton St. Church closed end Jul 1899 and reopened 17 Sep 1899.
